1. Who we are
LifeTLDR is owned and operated by Kindred Forge, LLC, a limited liability company registered in Texas, with offices in Austin, Texas ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2. Scope
This policy applies to the LifeTLDR website, application, and related services. LifeTLDR is currently in limited release; if you are only visiting this marketing site, the information we collect is limited to what is described in Section 3(d).
3. Information we collect
a) Information you give us directly
- Account information: your name, email address, and authentication credentials. Sign-in is handled by our identity provider, Clerk.
- Mobile phone number, if you choose to provide one. This is optional. You can create and use a LifeTLDR account without giving us a phone number.
- Household profile information: during setup you tell us about the people in your household — for example first names, ages or grades, schools, teams, activities, healthcare providers, and allergies — so we know what matters to you. Every field is optional. You decide what to share.
- Support and correspondence: messages you send us by email or through the app.
- Waitlist and invitation signups: your email address, if you ask to be notified when a spot opens.
b) Information from services you connect
If you connect an email account, calendar, or other service, we access:
- The content of messages in the connected mailbox, including attachments and the content of pages those messages link to
- Message metadata such as sender, recipient, subject, and date
- Calendar events you have given us permission to read or write
We access this information only to produce your summaries, extract dates and action items, write events to your calendar, apply organizing labels in your mailbox, and send the household invitations you explicitly ask us to send. We do not read connected accounts for any other purpose. Promotional and social mail is skipped automatically.
c) Information about your mobile messaging
If you enroll in text messages, we record your mobile number, your opt-in and opt-out status, the date and method of your consent, and delivery status for messages we send you. See our SMS Terms.
d) Information collected automatically
Device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and similar usage and diagnostic data, collected through cookies and standard server logging. We use this to operate and improve the service and to detect abuse.
Because access is currently invitation-based, we also store irreversible hashes of your IP address and a browser fingerprint when an invitation is redeemed. These are used solely to stop one person from claiming many invitations. We do not use them to track you across other websites, and they cannot be reversed back into an IP address.
4. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Read, summarize, and prioritize the messages in accounts you connect
- Create calendar events, reminders, and action items
- Share summaries and plans with the household members you have chosen to include
- Send the household invitations you ask us to send
- Notify you in the app and — only if you have opted in — by text message
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests
- Secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations
- Improve LifeTLDR's accuracy and reliability
LifeTLDR deliberately does not email you your summaries. An app that exists to reduce your email should not add to it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the content of your connected accounts to serve or target advertising, and we do not sell that content to anyone.
5. Automated processing and AI
LifeTLDR uses automated systems, including large language models, to read and summarize your messages. Content from your connected accounts is processed by our AI provider — currently Google Cloud Vertex AI — acting as our service provider under contract. That provider is prohibited from using your content to train its models or for any purpose other than delivering the processing we request.
What we send for processing is the message content together with the household profile you provided, so the summary knows who "Mrs. Alvarez" or "the away game" refers to. That household context can include children's first names, schools, grades, and medical details when you have chosen to provide them.
Summaries are automated and may be incomplete or wrong. LifeTLDR is a convenience, not a system of record. Please verify anything important — especially medical, legal, financial, or school deadlines — against the original message.
6. Google user data
If you connect a Google account, LifeTLDR's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
These are the permissions we request and exactly what each one is for:
| Permission | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| openid, userinfo.email, userinfo.profile | Identify you and sign you in. |
| gmail.modify | Read the messages we summarize and apply LifeTLDR's organizing labels. This permission also allows writing, but we use it only to read and to label. |
| gmail.labels | Create and maintain the three LifeTLDR labels in your mailbox. |
| gmail.send, gmail.compose | Send a household invitation from your own address, and only when you ask for one. We never send marketing, and we never message your contacts on our own initiative. |
| calendar | Create and update events on a dedicated LifeTLDR calendar inside your own Google account, which you can hide or delete at any time. |
Specifically:
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features that are visible in LifeTLDR.
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition, and never for advertising.
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
- Humans do not read your Google user data except with your explicit permission for a specific support request, for security purposes such as investigating abuse, to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and de-identified.
You can revoke LifeTLDR's access at any time from the permissions page of your Google account, or by disconnecting the account in LifeTLDR. Revoking access stops all further reading of your mailbox immediately.
7. Household sharing
LifeTLDR is designed for shared use. If you add another person to your household, they can see the information you choose to share with them — summaries, events, and action items — at the permission level you set. They cannot see your inbox. No one in your household can read the raw contents of a mailbox they have not personally connected.
Household invitations are sent from your own email address, using the permission you granted at sign-in, and only when you ask us to send one. Invitation links expire after 14 days, and you can revoke a pending invitation at any time.
Adding someone to your household does not enroll them in text messages. They must provide their own mobile number and their own consent before we send them any texts.
8. Information about children
LifeTLDR is designed for parents and caregivers and is intended for use by adults only. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children, and children do not create LifeTLDR accounts.
Parents and caregivers may choose to tell us about children in their household — for example a first name, a school, a team, or an appointment. That information is provided by the adult account holder, is used only to produce that household's summaries and reminders, is never sold and never used for advertising, and can be deleted at any time by the account holder.
10. Mobile information and SMS consent
We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.
All of the categories of sharing described elsewhere in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties for their own purposes, and will not be sold, rented, or licensed to anyone.
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, by changing your notification settings in the app, or by emailing howdy@lifetldr.com. See our SMS Terms for full program details.
11. Retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect a mailbox or calendar at any time — in LifeTLDR where that control is available, and always from your Google account permissions page — which stops all further access immediately.
To delete your account, email howdy@lifetldr.com from the address on your account, or use the in-app deletion control where it is available. We will delete your personal information and the content we derived from your connected accounts within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Backups are purged on our normal rotation schedule.
Records of SMS consent and opt-out are retained after opt-out as required to demonstrate compliance with telecommunications regulations.
12. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege practices to protect your information. Credentials for your connected accounts are stored encrypted and are never exposed to other users. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and any required authority of a breach affecting your personal information as required by applicable law.
13. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live — including under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and similar state laws — you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
- Obtain a copy of that information in a portable format
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information
- Opt out of any sale of personal information or targeted advertising (we do neither)
- Appeal a decision we make about one of these requests
To exercise any of these rights, email howdy@lifetldr.com. We will verify your identity before acting and will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response; if your appeal is denied, you may contact the Texas Attorney General or your state's equivalent authority.
You can also opt out of any marketing email using the unsubscribe link in the message, and out of text messages by replying STOP.
15. International users
LifeTLDR is operated from the United States and intended for users in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version and its effective date will always be posted at this URL. If we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email or in-app notice before the changes take effect.
